About this ESSLLI Student Session

The 15th ESSLLI Student session was held in Copenhagen 2010. We received 50 submissions from 20 different countries. We accepted for presentation 18 long papers and 14 posters.

Springer generously donated 1000 euros worth of their publications to be awareded as the best ESSLLI Student session participants. This years winners are:

    Casper Storm Hansen - best paper and 500 euros worth of Springer publications
    Wesley Holliday - second best paper and 300 euros worth of Springer publications
    Kim Allan Hansen, Sine Zambach and Christian Theil Have - best poster and 200 euros worth of Springer publications

Selected papers will appear for publication in 2011 together with the selected papers from the Student Session in 2011.

The History of ESSLLI Student Sessions

The 15th ESSLLI Student session was held in Copenhagen 2010. We received 50 submissions from 20 different countries. We accepted for presentation 18 long papers and 14 posters.

The first ESSLLI Student Session (STuS) was held during ESSLLI'96 in Prague. The European Summer School in Logic, Language and Information (ESSLLI) is organized every year, in different sites around Europe, by the Association for Logic, Language and Information ( FoLLI).

The main focus of ESSLLI is on the interface between linguistics, logic and computation. Previous summer schools have been highly successful, attracting up to 500 students every year from Europe and from the rest of the World. The school has developed into an important meeting place and forum for discussion for students and researchers interested in the interdisciplinary study of Logic, Language and Information.
